Agent Breaks 23 Year Record for MLS® Sales in Central Alberta
Susan Rochefort of Lime Green Realty sets a new record for MLS® Listings Sold
RED DEER, AB – For the first time in 23 years of Residential MLS® listing sales in Central Alberta, Susan Rochefort, REALTOR® and Owner of Lime Green Realty Inc. of Red Deer, Alberta has sold 150 residential listings in one year (2013). The previous record was held by a Royal LePage agent with 137 sales in 2006.
“We took a huge risk in 2009 starting this company, as leaders & game changers in the real estate industry we needed the consumers support & these numbers are proof that we have it. This company was built on the idea that the consumer comes first so the true measure of our success is how many happy clients we have & we have passed that test as well. Through feedback & a survey we had 144 of our 150 clients participate with 142 indicating they were extremely happy with our services, 2 were pleased and 6 did not respond or could not be reached. I realize in business you won’t please everyone but we do strive for excellence at Lime Green Realty” said Rochefort.
Susan also won the hearts of Red Deer Express voters by winning Gold for the Best of Red Deer REALTOR® category in 2013. This win comes in the first year the REALTOR® category had been brought back into the voting after it was removed from the awards over the past few years.

With this new record, Susan tops the ranks as Red Deer and Central Alberta’s # 1 home seller in 2013 out of more than 450 real estate agents in Central Alberta. She also ranked as the #1 home seller in 2012 with 120 residential listing sales. With no direct relationships to any of the large builders in Central Alberta, Rochefort said her leads are mostly generated “the old fashion way, by word of mouth, a happy client is your best and most cost-effective form of advertising.”
Balancing volume & great customer service has been key for Lime Green Realty. Susan indicated with the current systems in place they can manage 250 listings in a year without sacrificing their high level of customer service. “I believe we have challenged all aspects of the real estate industry including the number of transactions one agent can complete in a year. There is a direct relationship between the number of deals an agent completes & how connected they are to this business which impacts their level of expertise. I have learned that the more I do, the better it is for the consumer” Susan commented.
2013 was a strong real estate market for Central Alberta yielding a total of 4,900 residential sales compared to 3,426 in 2010 when the housing market was in a downfall for both prices and number of sales. The housing market turned around in 2012 when prices began to increase and has continued to stay strong.
